The Haven of Rest is in its 25th year of serving some of “the least of these” that have fallen on hard times in the downtown area of Tallahassee. For many years, men came to the old mission to escape the harsh realities of life on the street. Many lives were changed and restarted on a path that now included Jesus.

rescue:

the focus was to: help the men begin to regain lost dignity by re-establishing or, in some cases, developing practical work ethics for the first time.

another change was to: eliminate the mind set of “transient” from those who minister and from the men who come for help.
