Music is truly a gift from God. What enjoyment there is in singing praise to him. It is a reflection of the soul. God says in Exodus 15 that the Israelites sang "I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted. The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him." That's our goal here at North Florida in the Music Ministry is to exalt and praise Him.

The Music Ministry is one of the most visible in all of Tallahassee. Especially after last year's addition of the North Florida Passion Play. There were over 125 singers and folks in the drama. Plus scores of others involved in building the sets, sewing the costumes, distributing tickets, watching the nursery, ushering, etc. God blessed enormously! We performed this wonderful musical drama three different nights on Palm Sunday weekend to a total of approximately 3,000 people. WOW! What an experience that will be treasured for a life time. In 2009, we will be presenting the Passion Play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 3, 4 & 5. Tickets will be available one month prior to the play.

Christmas is another wonderful time of celebration through music at NFBC.  This past year we had a GREAT time presenting, “Celebrate the Season”.  It offered a variety of styles of music and our children were able to join us in the celebration.  It was a beautiful offering of Praise as we celebrated once again the Savior’s birth. 

There are so many opportunities to be a part of the Music Ministry here at NFBC. We offer weekly music selections in praise as a part of our morning worship experience, plus if you do not sing, but play an instrument, there is the orchestra. We are always welcoming new members to our adult choir and orchestra.

Children are invited to participate in our Children's Choir which meets on Wednedsay nights at 7:15 pm. The Kids of the Kingdom choir is for ages 1st thru 6th grades. We meet regularly and look forward to sharing with our church family periodically throughout the year. It is a GREAT way for children to learn the basics of singing and some music theory, plus learn Biblically how to use their musical talents for Him.

Whether it's through choral singing, ensembles, quartets, duets or soloists, North Florida strives to present music that will minister to people's hearts and uplift the Savior. A variety of different styles are used to try and reach everyone's musical tastes.
