Music is truly a gift from God. What enjoyment there is in singing praise to him. It is a reflection of the soul. God says in Exodus 15 that the Israelites sang "I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted. The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him." That's our goal here at North Florida in the Music Ministry is to exalt and praise Him.

Our Music Ministry at North Florida is one of the most visible in all of Tallahassee. Our production of the North Florida Passion Play is always a highlight of the church year! This past year there were over 125 singers and cast members in the musical/drama. Plus scores of others involved in building the sets, sewing the costumes, distributing tickets, watching the nursery, ushering and serving on our prayer teams and God blessed enormously! We performed this wonderful musical drama three different nights on Easter Sunday weekend to a total of approximately 3,000 people. WOW! What an experience that will be treasured for a life time. In 2010, we'll present the Passion Play over Palm Sunday weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 26, 27 & 28.

Christmas is another wonderful time of celebration through music at NFBC. This past year we had a GREAT time presenting the original musical drama "From the Cradle To the Cross." It offered a variety of styles of music and our children were able to join us in the celebration as well. It was a beautiful telling of the saving power of Jesus as we celebrated once again His birth.

There are so many opportunities to be a part of the Music Ministry here at NFBC. We offer weekly music selections in praise as a part of our morning worship experience, plus if you do not sing, but play an instrument, there is the orchestra. We are always welcoming new members to our adult choir and orchestra.

Whether it's through choral singing, ensembles, quartets, duets or soloists, North Florida strives to present music that will minister to people's hearts and uplift the Savior. A variety of different styles are used to try and reach everyone's musical tastes.
