Our Guidance Department is set up to meet the diverse needs of our students as they work together with parents, faculty, and the school administration. Our dedicated professionals take seriously the responsibility in planning and preparing each student’s academic program and the personal needs they may have. North Florida Christian is more than a school, it is a family bound together by shared values and goals which are rooted in the absolute truths of God's word.

You will find administrators and staff ready to assist you when it comes to academic counseling. Scholarship information, college choices, course evaluations, and individual counseling all are a part of the experience from the Guidance Office.

The guidance service is an integral part of the educational program. Counselors assist students to mature in self-understanding, decision making, and choices that guide them to fulfill their goals as they step into our society. The Guidance Department works to help the student understand themselves and to make the most of their personal potential.

The guidance program gives the students tools as they evaluate their own strengths and abilities. Beginning in the eighth grade students take the initial ACT test called EXPLORE, as sophomores they continue this process by taking the PLAN test and as juniors the PSAT. As they move into their junior and senior years, the SAT and ACT are a part of the schedule.

The Guidance Department offers guidance services to parents and students in a way that fulfills the school's commitment to provide instruction within a Christian, caring environment. Guidance is for the entire student body, and an attempt is made to challenge the student to develop a feeling of self-worth as they evaluate and make decisions about their future.

Students have access to many different resources, including guided Internet research and numerous career, college and scholarship reference books. Students are able to complete research independently or meet individually with a representative from the NFCS Guidance Department.
