Re-Enrollment and New Enrollment Open

The school has opened re-enrollment and new enrollment for the 2010-11 school year. For current families all the information is available to re-enroll on-line through their RenWeb family account. There are key incentives to re-enroll early and that has been sent to families both through e-mail and traditional mail. Any questions about both re-enrollment and new enrollments can be answered by our Admissions Office. The NFC Admissions Office is hosting new families daily as we work with individual schedules and needs. Call our Admissions Office at 386-NFCS and extension 195 and they will be glad to assist you.

Student Pictures at NFC

Spring Pictures by Richard’s Photography for Preschool and Elementary are scheduled for Thursday, February 11. Dress up in your spring attire as spring should be just around the corner.

It is graduation time for our 5K students…at least graduation photos will be taken on March 4 by Richard’s Photography.

Signing Day

This past College Football Signing Day, NFC senior quarterback, Clint Tricket, signed a football scholarship with Florida Student University. Clint was not permitted by the NCAA to be on campus to sign his scholarship, because he had begun FSU in the January semester. Clint’s mother was present for the ceremony.

Senior offensive lineman, Drew Gentry, signed with East Carolina University. Drew will graduate in May and begin his college football soon after graduation. Drew was joined with his dad and younger brother for his ceremony.

Your satisfaction and commitment to Christian education has been of vital importance to our success over the years. We are encouraging you to help us in recruiting those new families who want to be a part of the NFCS family where Christian values, a passion for academic knowledge in the classroom, and success in athletics and arts are their desires. NFCS Statement - H1N1 Virus

Due to recent reports in the media and health concerns about the H1N1 Flu, also known as the swine flu, we are implementing measures to reduce the possibility of the spread of this and other viruses on our campus. While no one is sure of the severity of the flu season, we have established protocols to ensure a healthy environment for all at NFCS. Click here to review our established protocols.

Global Impact Celebration

We all know we live in a world that is much closer for everyone with the help of new technology and the speed of communication today. Beginning on Wednesday February 24, NFC students will again have the opportunity to experience the feel of the world in different areas as they join in the celebration of this year’s GIC Conference. Missionaries from around the world will be with us for those days both in special chapel programs and in the classrooms.

A highlight for the students will be The Children of the World Choir performing in a special chapel program on Friday, February 26 from 9:30-10:15. It promises to be a special time as we get to experience these children.

Each year our students at NFC join in with helping a special designated mission project and this year they have the opportunity to see their project before them as it is the Haven of Rest Rescue Mission here in Tallahassee. The Haven is a ministry to men who have run into a road block that has detoured their life. The Haven provides temporary housing and meals for those in need as well as the opportunity for a longer term stay to help the men of the Haven to get their life back on track.

Tenth Grade Students
Tenth grade students are able to apply for the Youth Leadership Program of Tallahassee. This is an outstanding program for high school students providing them opportunities for leadership. Applications are available in the NFCS High School Office or you can go to http://www.youthleadership tallahassee.com to download the file. Applications must be typed when submitted. They should be completed and returned to Mr. Jim Lieser, NFCS Guidance Director, by February 16. Students will go through an interview process conducted by selected members representing the YLT Program. Those selected will have the opportunity to participate in the Youth Leadership Program during their junior year starting this coming summer. They will attend a special program session one time each month during the next school year. Requirements are a minimum of a 2.5 GPA, written consent from a parent, and leadership potential. Decisions on participants are made by those presenting this program.
