FACCS
Sr. High Fine Arts Competition
Senior high students will be traveling
to Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday
afternoon, March 11, to compete during
the day on Friday at the Florida Association
of Christian Colleges and Schools
Senior High School Fine Arts Competition.
Students from Christian schools from
all over the state of Florida will
compete at Trinity Christian School
in a day of activities. Competitions
are held in Bible quizzing, Bible
preaching, academics, vocal and instrumental
music, and art projects.
Winter
Sports Banquet
The winter athletic banquet for varsity
basketball, volleyball, cross country,
and golf will be held on Monday, March
15, in the lower level of the Tallahassee-Leon
County Civic Center. The banquet will
start at 6:30 pm. Tickets for guests
will go on sale in the Athletic Office
on March 1. The cost is $20 per person.
Varsity athletes do not need to purchase
a ticket, but they do need to stop
by the Athletic Office and tell us
whether or not they will be attending.
The deadline to RSVP or purchase a
ticket is March 9. Please contact
Tabetha Slemp at 386-6327 x.123 with
any questions.
Stanford
Achievement Testing
NFCS will be doing the annual Stanford
10 achievement testing during the
week of March 22. Students will test
during the morning hours in all grades
except for the twelfth grade. Students
should bring a couple of sharpened
#2 pencils each day of the week. Upper
level students will be permitted to
use their calculators on the math
portion of the testing. Once all the
testing is completed, the answer sheets
will be sent off to be machine scored.
The results will be returned by the
end of the school year.

Re-Enrollment
and New Enrollment Open
The school has opened re-enrollment
and new enrollment for the 2010-11
school year. For current families
all the information is available to
re-enroll on-line through their RenWeb
family account. There are key incentives
to re-enroll early and that has been
sent to families both through e-mail
and traditional mail. Any questions
about both re-enrollment and new enrollments
can be answered by our Admissions
Office. The NFC Admissions Office
is hosting new families daily as we
work with individual schedules and
needs. Call our Admissions Office
at 386-NFCS and extension 195 and
they will be glad to assist you.

Elementary
"Step-Up Day"
Elementary “Step-Up Day”
for our students in kindergarten through
fourth grades will be held on Tuesday,
March 9. To give our elementary students
a small taste of what class time will
be like for them next school year,
each class will “step-up”
and visit in each of the classes in
the next grade level, and spend time
with each of the teachers in that
grade level. These will be exciting
days for both students and teachers.
Parents are invited to attend and
“step-up” with their children.
“Step-Up Day” activities
will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00
that morning.

Class Chapel Program
Mrs. Carlson’s class and Mrs.
McLemore’s class will be presenting
their class chapel program “The
King of all Kings,” on Wednesday,
March 10 at 8:30 a.m. Families and
friends are invited to attend this
program that is sure to inspire all
of us to tell others about the King
of Kings as we celebrate the Easter
season.

Make some memories! Preschool and
Elementary Class Pictures will be
taken on Thursday, March 11.

Books Meet the Authors Day
On Friday morning, March 26, family
and friends of Preschool – 5th
grade students are invited to the
Eagle Café to meet the authors
of NFCS Elementary! Each class in
Preschool through Second Grade has
created a classroom book, and each
individual student in grades 3-5 has
created their own individual book.
Parents and grandparents are invited
to view these books and congratulate
their authors on a job well done.
There will also be opportunities to
get the books autographed by the authors!
These books are a must see and definitely
a must read! This special event will
take place in the Eagle Café
at the following times on March 26:

4K – 8:30 to 8:50
• 5K & 1st – 9:00
to 9:20
• 2nd & 3rd – 9:30
to 9:50
• 4th & 5th – 10:00
to 10:20
Little
Eagle Spring Camp
March 29-April 1: Sign up now for
the Little Eagle Spring Camp in the
Preschool Office. Cost is $108 for
7:30-3:30 or $124 until 6:00. The
cost includes snacks and lunches.
Payment is due by Wednesday, March
24. Please note that the camp cost
is in addition to your regular tuition
payment.
